Rather than give every user yet another password to remember, access to the PriDoc modules is controlled through the use of 5 passwords corresponding to 5 levels of access, as follows:
1. Emani Support
This level is intended only to be used where the client requires access to PriDoc at a level for which the password is unavailable. The Emani Support password will be determined by Emani Software Ltd., and will be unique to the client and to the date on which it is to be used. It will only be issued to the client on receipt of a written request from a Partner or the Practice Manager.
2. Administrator
This level will allow for unlimited access to all components of the PriDoc system.
3. Manager
This level will allow for intermediate access to the PriDoc system as specified on the Permissions Table.
4. Privileged User
This level will allow for more restricted access to the PriDoc system as specified on the Permissions Table.
5. User
This level will allow only for basic access to the PriDoc system as specified on the Permissions Table.
The password for the ‘User’ level is optional: if no password is specified (and the initial password has been deleted) anyone may access PriDoc at the ‘User’ level without needing to enter a password.
One or more people in the Practice must be nominated as PriDoc Administrator, and it will be their responsibility to provide everyone using the system with the appropriate password for their required level of access. It will also be the Administrator’s responsibility to change the passwords periodically or as required in order to alter the permitted access for other personnel. In particular it is important that the Administrator, immediately following the installation of the programme, changes the passwords from their initial settings.
